Celebrations

Rae October 5th, 2008

Yesterday we had a party to celebrate Chelsea’s 1st birthday. It was a small family gathering. The cake was delicious. I feel that the orange flowers were symbolic of my mother-in-law since she is an orange fan.  I have made two new folders in the photo gallery. One is for Vincent’s birthday that was in July and the other is for pictures from Chelsea’s. I also sorted the new folder to clear it for some new photos that are non-birthday related. So please check those folders out. The new folder has been updated with 10/5/08 as the date. I will always change the date when I post new photos. It is fun to celebrate the milestones in life then look back at the captured moments in the gallery. I just looked at Vincent’s folder to reminisce on how much he has grown.

October Already!

Rae October 2nd, 2008

I can not believe it is already October. In one more day Chelsea will be turning 1 years old. The time has flown by. She is really growing into a sweet toddler. Her first few steps have been tipsy, but with each one she grows confidence in walking. I watch my last child grow from a baby and try to remember all the small things. These are times I will look back on and smile.

October also brings with it the cooler weather. Time to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors before the chill of winter sets in. One of my goals this October is to take a bike ride a few days a week. Chuck bought bikes for us to ride as a family. We also got a trailer that Chelsea and Vincent can ride in on long rides. I have been waiting for Chelsea to turn one so that she is big enough for it. I think a little bike helmet is what I will get her for her birthday.

At the end of October is my favorite holiday, Halloween. We can all dress as our favorite fictional character. I think I really want to be a pirate this year. I love all the decorations for Halloween. In fact I will go to the holiday aisle just to gaze at what is out there to use for celebration. My biggest dream is to one day hold a huge party at my house filled with a ton of decorations. We would have contests with wonderful spooky prizes. Of course our backyard would be a haunted maze for all to enjoy. I know it won’t be this year because of the financial situation we are in. That doesn’t mean I will stop dreaming about it.

Thank Goodness it is October Already. I plan on filling this month with memories.
