So last night I went to the mall right after the kids went to sleep. I needed to find some clothes for Chuck and I to wear in today’s holiday photo shoot (a whole subject of it’s own). The store is a buzz and I have no clue what is to come. I call Chuck ten mins before the store was suppose to close. There was buzz about a midnight sale. I wasn’t sure so while I had him on the phone I asked an associate. She informs me that they are closing at 10pm then right before I get off the phone she corrects herself and says they will be open until Midnight. Wow I am there for a midnight sale.. didn’t mean to be, but ok Great!
I hang up my phone and continue browsing the store. A voice comes across the store speakers stating that the mall is now closed. Clothes started flying as women went increasingly crazed over the potential savings. I have never been to a midnight sale so I really don’t know if this is the norm. Seeing how I used to work at Sears and my job was to put clothes back in it’s place.. I really noticed how things were not getting back in their places on the racks. I ended up trying a few things on then being called away empty handed once Chelsea woke up. I can only imagine what kind of mess that store was in this morning. I feel for the workers who had the job of shelving the merchandise.

I usually don’t listen to any morning radio programs unless I am driving Chuck into work. This morning I was flipping through the stations when I came across a good country song. I used to listen to a lot of country music and could rattle off the lyric to most songs. Since Chuck is not a huge country music fan I don’t listen like I used to. The main reason for this is that the only time I really listen to the radio is in the car. A car ride is more then likely with Chuck driving seeing how I really don’t go anywhere. or .. OR .. I have an AFI Cd in the van then that is all I listen to.
Any who, This morning the song went off and the radio hosts started spouting opinions. I was kinda listening when I heard him say he did not like a song by Carrie Underwood. The song is called “Before He Cheats”. It talks about a girl that caught her man cheating and decides to take her revenge on his vehicle. The point the radio announcer was making is that because Carrie has such a goodie image it gives us girls the idea that it is ok to take out revenge if we catch our man cheating. He made a point that if a “bad” girl would have sang it we might think that the chick is nutso and that it is a bad idea to ruin a guys car, but because it is Carrie singing we would follow her suit.
The whole reason the guy was even talking about this was because some woman poured hot grease on her man that she caught cheating. The radio dj said that he thought the girl might have got the idea from Carrie’s song. What rubbish is that.
I can honestly say that if I caught Chuck cheating he would have to worry more about me shooting the girl and chasing him with a gun then about some damage to a vehicle. I don’t need a song to give me the go ahead. I would just become violent on my own. It is amazing to me when someone ever says .. the music made me do it. Like when they blamed the music that someone listens to when a crime is committed.
So I guess the radio DJ completely forgot about the song by the Dixie Chicks “Good Bye Earl” whose main singable lyric was “Earl had to die, Goodbye Earl”. I would hate to be a guy named Earl.

I always seem to think of things to blog about while I am out running errands. Then when I get home I can’t remember what I thought would be great to blog about. I sit here staring at the screen knowing I should blog about something but what is it? So I mostly end up just talking about what is going on with the family. This is not a bad thing seeing how this is our family blog. I just wish I had something amazing attention grabbing to say. I always feel like I need to apologize for the blog sitting for a few days. Yet I know it is ok and no one will die from not having something to read. In fact I know a lot of the blogs I read are on break until after the holidays.
